Canvas-Supported Browsers

If you are having issues with Canvas not loading or not able to submit attachments, please ensure you have a supported internet browser. The article shows which browsers are supported by Canvas.

Which internet browsers are supported by Canvas?

If you are experiencing issues using Canvas, please confirm you are using a Canvas-supported browser. 

For best performance, Canvas should be run on the latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari or Microsoft Edge.

If, after confirming you are using a supported browser you are still experiencing issues using Canvas, please review the following:

Windows Devices

• Ensure that your operating system is current and can run the latest browsers.
• You may need to download the Windows 10 Anniversary Update to submit Canvas assignments using Microsoft Edge.

Mac Devices

• Please be aware that the version of Safari your computer is running is tied to your version of macOS.
• Check for and install updates on personally-owned Mac machines. 
• To update a university-owned computer, please contact Information Technology Services (ITS).

Mobile Browsers

• Latest version of Safari (iOS) and Chrome (Android)—view Instructure limited support guidelines
